5 out of 5 stars Coleman 3-burner dual fuel stove   February 21, 2007

This stove is the same basic design as those I've used for the last 40+ years. Just that now it burns unleaded gas, which is about one-third the price of Coleman fuel in our area right now.

The main reasons for my purchasing the stove were (1) wanting to save on fuel, and (2) wanting a larger cooking area and three burners. The stove delivers admirably on both points. Lots more space than my original two-burner, and the flareups I had expected might occur with gasoline don't happen: it's just like lighting the stove using original Coleman fuel. Highly recommended.

Well made (in the USA no less)and solid. Center burner is the "on burner" which makes the stove very accomodating of large size pot or kettle. Both outside burners are plenty hot and useful. If "Coleman qualified" it is a simple stove to operate and maintain. If not, it is easy to master. This is a large stove which is actually useful as a replacement home stove if power is out (though should be used only outside). Use of lead free gas makes it cheap to operate over the long hual. Totally satisfied with this classic.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent, but Extremely Large   June 29, 2009

This stove is a timeless classic who's quality speaks for itself; its reputation is well-earned. I agree with the other reviews that attest to its quality, durability, its economical operation and the flexibility of being able to use unleaded gas.

When I received it, I found out why the 2-burner model is much more popular than this one --> At 32" wide and nearly 20 pounds, this 3-burner model is dramatically larger than the 24" wide, 12 pound, 2-burner model.

Before ordering this model, I advise you to consider the added size and weight of the third burner in this model. It's certainly better for cooking than the 2-burner model, but it might be more stove than you want to carry.

5 out of 5 stars Very nice stove!!!!   August 14, 2009

This is a nice stove, but don't purchase if you want a small easy to carry model for hiking. This stove is about 32 inches long and really it looks bigger. I wanted to convenience of boiling water while also cooking breakfast. It's nice to have the water hot already for easy clean up of cast iron cookware or for hot cocoa.
The center burner is the work horse while the outter burners supply less BTU's. Trust me, they're more than enough as I have to turn down the middle burner to not scorch everything. I use the middle burner to heat water and the outter ones to fry up breakfast. I haven't had it long so I'm not sure about longevity.
If you have a family of four or more, I highly recommend this model for camping.
It's also nice to have it in case of power outtages during storms.

5 out of 5 stars Should provide years of service   June 5, 2008

We purchased the white fuel only version of this stove for my father nearly 30 years ago. It has seen a lot of use and, at times, has been stored in less than favorable conditions. It has performed exceedingly well and, since I have inherited it, has proven to be a very durable and reliable part of my camping equipment. Granted, I am basing this review on the white fuel only version. But, there really isn't much difference between the single and duel fuel models and each work the same. Just fill the tank, pump up the pressure, turn the appropriate valves and light the burner. If you follow all the instructions and use the stove as intended it is safe and will be very dependable.
